29 May 2013: Around the World: Brazil

A big welcome to Timothy who was invested today. 

 

We learnt how to play a great Brazilian game called "Queimada" 

 

We cut out birds from the papers we made last week 

 

Then solved some bird puzzles from the Amazon rainforest 

 

 

22 May 2013: Around the World : Egypt

We travelled to Africa and stopped in at Egypt.

We started with a busy game of musical camels.

Egyptians were one of the first civilisations to make clay pots

We tried one of their favourite dishes: Honey bread 

 

 

Some cubs were very creative with their pots..

 

Finally we had to decipher the heiroglyphics to find the hidden treasure.. 

 

15 May 2013: Around the World: Italy

We set off to Italy for our next visit.
We learnt that their favourite game is dominoes 

Many good artists come from italy and we learnt about the colour wheel...

 

Italians love their food and we learnt what makes for balance eating. 

 

8 May 2013: Around the World: China

 

 

We learnt to play the game: Chinese Ball.
This meant we had to concentrate carefully...
We then filled out our visas and got our passports ready... 

 

 

Then had to learn to eat with chopsticks and try Chinese tea.
